Investing in Monroe

Why Monroe?

The answer is simple. We believe in Monroe, we
know the town well, and we think there’s a place
for reasonable, sustained economic development
that adds value to the town and revenue to
its coffers.

Members of our family have lived in Monroe for many
years. Our company’s president, John Kimball,
has lived in and been active in the town for several
years (he restored the old Wheeler house).

Like other towns in Fairfield County, we’ve seen
Monroe change and evolve through the years. Monroe,
like many towns in Connecticut, is very much at a
crossroads. The town badly needs economic development —
more than we alone could ever bring — to compensate for
the enormous growth over the past 20 years and keep pace
with future growth. It is our strong belief that the economic
development, when done well and done right, can not only add revenue to the town, but more important it can also add value. A prime example is the recent addition of the Swiss Army Brands Headquarters to the Kimball site in Monroe.

Main Street Monroe -- 69 Acres available for Development

We were fortunate, with the help of developer Bob Scinto, to lure Swiss Army Brands to Monroe. Swiss Army will serve as an anchor for this promising 80-acre site. This effort was the result of several years of hard work trying to build interest in the site, and in Monroe as a corporate hub. We continue our diligent efforts to lure businesses that can generate substantial tax revenue to Monroe, and bring much-needed positive, constructive development to the town.

When you look at our track record, you’ll see that we put great care into our work. We hold ourselves to the highest standards, and we are sensitive to the needs of those with whom we share our community.

Our investments in Monroe go beyond Main Street. For more information on the Pepper Street Industrial Park, click here.
